I realize I haven’t blogged since January, which severs my promise to blog at least every Monday. But I have a very good excuse.
The deadline.
The whole point is for me to write books for people to read and if I’m writing blogs, then I’m not writing books. And right now, I need to be writing this book. So that’s where I am. Writing Anchor Island book 4. The good news is that I’m loving it so far. There will be several new characters to meet, including the heroine of the story (you’ll meet the hero in book 3.)
There’s even a fun new pet. Who talks.
Stay tuned for more as it develops, but right now, I need to go write. Oh, and for anyone who has noticed, the release date for HOME TO STAY, Anchor Island book 3, has been pushed back to May 1, but it’s not a bad thing. I’ll be able to explain soon.
Since it is a Monday, I’ll include some music. This one is on the inspiration soundtrack for book 4 right now. Nothing like a combustible couple fighting for a happily ever after. Enjoy!
What do you mean, it’s not a bad thing to make me wait even longer for the next book???
I agree a hundred percent. Your job is writing books for us, not blogging, so you really made the right choice. Social media offer wonderful new tools, but I get the feeling that sometimes writers feel obliged to write for their blogs or their FB pages, and become the slave to the media, instead of using the media themselves 😉
Book sounds very exciting and I am looking forward to the talking hamster. Is that what you said?
That was supposed to say “Book Four sounds very exciting”.
It’s a talking parrot. 🙂 And yes, I get easily sucked into social media and lose track of the time. So I’ll be scarce over there as well. (If I ever manage to find some discipline.)
Rock that deadline, lady!! I can’t wait for this book. 🙂
I’m trying! Plotted out several scenes today and I can’t wait to see what happens. Lots of laugh out loud moments ahead.
Can’t wait for Book 4, can’t wait for Book 3 either, May 1 is too far away!
Hey Susan! Thanks for stopping by. I can’t wait to see what readers think of book 3. It was the hardest to write so far, but I ended up loving it. I hope you do, too. 🙂
