Win A Kindle Fire!

Posted Nov 1 2015, 12:57 am in , , , ,

To celebrate the launch of the second book in the Ardent Springs Series, available Nov 10th, I’m giving away an 8GB Kindle Fire tablet to one lucky winner.

Here’s the blurb for OUR NOW AND FOREVER:

When Caleb McGraw sweeps Snow Cameron off her feet, she never expects their whirlwind romance to lead to a Vegas wedding chapel. Before she can catch her breath, Caleb starts talking kids and college funds while his wealthy parents make their disapproval painfully clear. Convinced she was blinded by lust, not love, Snow takes off for Ardent Springs, Tennessee, two months into the marriage.

Heir to a media conglomerate, Caleb never experienced struggle or rejection, until Snow sends him on a wild hunt for his runaway bride. When he finally finds her—managing a curiosity shop beloved by the quirky locals—she agrees to give the marriage another chance, but on one condition: no sex for a month. Can their love stand the test, or will they give in to their attraction?

In this humorous and heartwarming Ardent Springs romance, two lost hearts start over in a town where everyone deserves a second chance and love always wins in the end.

I loved the idea of starting a romance novel after the couple is already married. No meet cute. No drawn out courtship. For this book, I had to basically save a marriage, at the same time toying with the idea of love at first sight and if it can really turn into a happily ever after.

So what I want to know is…. do you believe in love at first sight? And can it really last forever?

Hmmmm, well I do believe in “like” at first sight for sure.

  2. Jane Nelson says:

I absolutely believe in love at first sight! My Grandparents were my proof! They met when Gram was 13yrs old and Gramp was 14yrs. old. They got married as soon as Gram turned 18, even though they’re families were against it. They were married almost 60yrs. before Gram passed and my Grandad would go to the cemetery everyday and leave her a red rose and tell her about what was going on in his life. We lost Gramp a year and a half ago and he told my Mom before he passed that he was ready to go be with Gram. I miss them everyday but I know they’re together and that helps.

  3. Krysten M says:

I can’t wait to read this one! Love all of your books! 🙂 I thin love at first sight is possible, but I’ve never seen it.. and only time will tell how long it would last

I could use this prize! Happy fall back day!

  5. Cheryl Hastings says:

I do believe in love at first sight and do thin k that it can last. It’s not the longevity of a relationship that predicts how long it’ll last, it’s the trust and love

  6. Darlene says:

I have never experienced love at first sight, but I do believe that it is possible for others. A lot of books that I read and movies talk about it so it must be possible 🙂 Thank you for such a great giveaway!!

  7. Phyllis Wenzel says:

Hi Terri, thanks for such a great give away. I sure do believe in love at first site. I don’t have faith in it being the love of a lifetime, you have to work on that kind, but it can start with that first sighting. It just has to grow from there. If it can do that of course it can last forever. Too many people today think that love and marriage are something that you do and then it just survives on its own. No work involved, well not the case, you have to put in lots of work, but it is so worth it with the right person. I have been married just about 30 yrs and wouldn’t trade a day. I am so very excited for Nov. 10th this one looks to be as good if not better than the last. You never ever let me down!! Thanks again 🙂

  8. Staci F says:

I do believe in love at first sight and I would like to believe it lasts forever

  9. bn100 says:

    yes, could be possible

  10. Tina Hairston says:

I do and I’ve seen it with a few couples though it is a rare thing. My former boss met her current husband when they met working together. She’d been recently divorced so wasn’t looking for a relationship but there was just something about him that she couldn’t ignore and he made sure she couldn’t. He’d never been married, saw her and said one and done basically, lol.

I’ve known her since 1997 and they had already been together about 8 or 9 yrs at that point and are still going strong :).

  11. alexia says:

I definitely believe in love at first sight. My parents met that way. My Mom was a surgical nurse in Greece, and my Dad was stationed there. She didn’t want to go to a Christmas party on Dec. 10 with one of her friends but she went and met my Dad. They hit it off, and he told his friend that he was going to marry that girl. Dec. 25 he went to the apartment that she was living with her brother and asked her to marry him. She said yes, and they married in April. They’ve been married since 1962. Through the good and the bad they’ve made it. In 1969-1971 he was stationed in Vietnam, and I was 2 when he left. When he got home he didn’t talk about his experience over there. Now that he’s older he tells us about what he saw, and it could not have been easy. Through illness, and old age they’ve stuck with each other and love each other.

  12. Cindy says:

Yep, love at first sight. And yep, it can last!

  13. carol bird says:

Not sure I have ever seen it, but I would like to believe in it, I suspect it is a pheromone based attraction. I dated thru the old fashion personals column in the local newspaper, and liked a bunch of guys on the phone that I didn’t click with when I met them. Still with the best after 20 years. 🙂

  14. Nanee says:

Yes, when I met my hubs it was love at first site and we’ve been together over 20 years

  18. Deanne Patterson says:

I am a romantic. I’ve read about love at first sight in many books so of course I believe it !

  19. Joy Johnson says:

Thx for putting up a really cool gift for your fans! 🙂

  20. Mandy Beck says:

Love can happen with a glance. Seeing that person across a room, hearing a voice that sends a tingle through you. It builds on you until you can’t imagine not seeing that person again, not waking up next to them, not seeing them when you get home from work. Relationships and marriage takes work and I believe that even through all the ups and downs that if there is love on both sides it can last forever.

  21. Neena Christianson Martin says:

I believe in like and lust at first sight, but I think true love takes a little more time. In my case it was about a month before I knew Mark was the only one for me, and we’ve been together for 25 years now.

  22. Jen Craig says:

I definitely believe in love at first sight. I think it is rare, but when it happens, watch out. Like any love, however, it still needs to be nurtured.

  23. Diane Blaser says:

I absolutely believe in love at first sight because that’s how I fell in love with my husband and the same thing happened to my oldest daughter.
I had to pack up and move to another state to meet my husband 39 years ago.

  24. Rachael Brown says:

I do believe in love at first sight. 🙂

  25. Anita S. says:

    Yes, I believe.

  26. Legna Herrera says:

I want to believe in it and badly. I’ve never really experienced true love, and it does seems kinda unreal this whole first sight concept; but that’s the magic we’re all looking for. And everything does start from a first impression, a first connection, that I believe you feel it at the beginning. You cannot know for sure it’ll be a forever love but for that you do have to work and make it grow. I think it does exist and you must be vigilant, don’t miss it and believe in giving that first sight a chance so it can grow into something wonderful.

  27. Mandy M. says:

I read tons and tons of romance novels and love the whole idea of love at first sight…..but I’ve just never seen it or experienced it first hand. I think true love takes a little time and needs a little depth. Can’t wait for the new book!!!

  28. Linda P, says:

Yes I believe in love at first sight.

  29. Virginia Jones says:

  30. infinitieh says:

I do believe in love at first sight but it would take work on both part to make it last.

  31. Michelle Harlan says:

  42. Holli says:

I believe in attraction at first sight, but love … I think that’s something that has to develop. To me, there’s just no way to know at a glance if you can trust someone to care for your heart forever, to be a true partner who can really understand you.

  43. Amber M says:

I have no doubt that it happens. Love isn’t something we can catalog or document. It deals with more then some rules and guides we put on it.

I would have to say at one point in my life, yes, I did believe in love at first sight. Right now though, I’m in the middle of a nasty split so it’s unfathomable to me right now. Although, I always believe in love at first sight in romance novels! It makes for a beautiful fantasy (lol)!

I believe in infatuation at first sight, but love requires you to really know someone.

  61. Lori H says:

I don’t believe in love at first sight although I do believe you can be attracted to someone. My hubby believes in love at first sight though. We met approximately 2 years before we actually started dating. He introduced himself and said, “I’m going to marry you some day.” I thought he was goofy. I’d heard he was a cut-up anyways however 2 years later, we ran into each other at a mall in another city and he asked me out. We dated a year before I said, “I do!” So 23 years later we are still together and happy 🙂

  63. Felicia Plastini says:

Sometimes there’s a vibe you get and you just know that person is the one you are supposed to meet, be with. But I don’t think I’d call it love. Because I do agree that a true love comes after time of knowing someone, the real them, which is hardly ever showed to you until you’ve been with that person a while.

  64. Jennifer Lessard says:

Yes I believe in love at first sight! I believe that it is possible to spot your soulmate and know in your heart that it is the person you are suppose to be with for the rest of your life! I don’t think it happens to everyone unless that person is completely in tune with themselves and what they want out of life!

I don’t think you can truly love someone unless you know them. I think it’s more attraction or lust, but I enjoy reading about it anyway.

I believe in love at first sight. My parents weren’t looking for love and didn’t know each other when they were set up on a blind date by mutual friends. They were married a few months later and when my dad passed away 8 years ago, they had been happily married for 35 years. I don’t ever remember them fighting when I was younger- no arguments, no bickering, just love and happiness. My mom has been lost without my dad and tells me at least once a week how much she misses him.

The love and companionship develops over the years and is truly amazing.
